50th Anniversary Gala
On April 23, 2012 TCG celebrated its 50th anniversary with a Gala Evening at Espace in New York City. Emceed by Sally Struthers and Jennifer Cody, the event honored luminaries from the field and featured some of the newest shows from across the country. The evening marked a half century of TCG's mission to strengthen, nurture and promote the national not-for-profit theatre community.
American Theatre 25th Anniversary Benefit
American Theatre's 25th Anniversary Benefit was held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at Studio 450 in New York. There were 360° views of New York City, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and American Theatre’s Celebrity Piano Bar.
2017: TCG Gala 2017
The 2017 Gala included a special performance by: John
Dossett and Chris Hoch performing a song from War Paint. Samuel E. Wright, who
played the part of Mufasa in the original cast of The Lion King on Broadway,
also celebrating 20 years this year, performed songs from his repertoire.
Honorees included: the creative team of War Paint, Book Writer Doug Wright,
Composer Scott Frankel, Lyricist Michael Korie, Director Michael Greif. And,
the National Council for the American Theatre, trustees from around the country
who have shaped their communities and influenced the national theatre
landscape.
TCG OUR STORIES Gala 2019
The 2019 OUR STORIES Gala celebrated Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Tony Kushner, Broadway press agent, and President of DKC/O&M, Rick Miramontez, and arts philanthropist, and Chair Emeritus of Ingram Industries, Martha Rivers Ingram. Performances included HADESTOWN's Patrick Page and Eva Maria Noblezada, OKLAHOMA!'s Ali Stroker, and a special tribute by Beth Malone and Nico Muhly. The event was directed by Tony Award-winning director Michael Mayer and hosted by celebrated Gala Co-Chairs Jacob G. Padrón, Jordan Roth & Richie Jackson, Thomas Schumacher & Matthew White, and Liesl Tommy.
