Nomination [FOR REFERENCE ONLY]

Nominations are welcome from any professional in the arts (or related fields) who has a working knowledge of a theatre director's role and responsibilities. Please consider the nominee eligibility and selection criteria (read here) before selecting a candidate. Nominators are limited to submitting one nomination.

Application [FOR REFERENCE ONLY]

Only nominated candidates may apply for the Alan Schneider Director Award. Please find the steps in the application process below. If you have any questions, including accessibility needs, please contact Joshua Smalley, artistic & international programs associate, at jsmalley@tcg.org.

Step 1: A director is nominated through the Online Nomination Form.

Step 2: Eligible nominees will be contacted by TCG after the nomination deadline (December 10, 2019) and asked to indicate their intent to apply by email. Interested nominees will be invited to submit materials through an online application.

Step 3: Nominees interested in applying must ask two theatre professionals other than their nominators to provide recommendation letters (one to two pages each). The recommender must submit their letter via email to Joshua Smalley, TCG artistic and international programs associate, at jsmalley@tcg.org. Two recommendation letters are required to apply for the award and must be received by January 31, 2020 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.

Step 4: Nominees interested in applying must submit application materials by January 31, 2020 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time.
