How To Apply [FOR REFERENCE ONLY]
Applications must be jointly developed by the actor and host theatre, and ultimately submitted by the actor. If you have any questions relating to the application process, including accessibility needs, please contact Joshua Smalley, artistic and international programs associate, at jsmalley@tcg.org.
Step 1: Download and read the Guidelines. Please read carefully, noting the selection criteria (page 4) and guidelines regarding components of your application, such as work samples and letters of recommendation (page 5).
Step 2: Either the Actor or the Host Theatre may initiate the application. To begin, please choose the correct Online Application Form based on applicant type. Choosing the correct Online Application Form is important, because questions vary depending on the applicant type.

NOTE: At any given moment you can select Save & Finish Later before you log off from your application session. To return to your application after you log off, please click here.
Step 3: The application portal will allow the Actor and Host Theatre to share access to the application so you can complete the application together. The user who begins the application (either the Actor or the Host Theatre Contact) can give access to another person to view the in progress application by selecting the Save & Finish Later button and clicking the Manage viewers icon. Also, the user who initiates the application (either the Actor or the Host Theatre Contact) can also give permission to another person to edit the application by transferring the ownership of the application. To do this, select the Save & Finish Later button and click the Transfer to a new owner icon.
Step 4: Submit your application materials through TCG's Online Application Portal by November 19, 2019, NOON ET.
General Instructions on using TCG's Online Application Portal:

Do not close out of browser without clicking the Save & Finish Later button. At any time, you can save your work and return to the application form by selecting the Save & Finish Later button.

Click the check mark icon next to long text boxes to spell check your work.

You will not be able to bold, italicize or underline your text. We suggest putting show titles in CAPS or using quotation marks.

When applicable, you may click the info box icon for formatting requirements and special instructions, when necessary.

You can transfer the ownership of the application by selecting the "Save & Finish Later" button and clicking the "Transfer to a new owner" icon.

You can give access to another person to view your application by selecting the "Save" button and clicking the "Email Draft" link.
