Applications must be developed and submitted by the individual applicant.
ONLINE APPLICATION SUBMISSION DEADLINE: TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020 NOON ET
The online application will require that the applicant name two recommenders who will each submit a recommendation on their behalf as well as an academic advisor that will submit a letter of support. The recommenders and academic advisor should be familiar with the applicant’s work and be available to submit their letters to TCG directly via email by TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020 NOON ET.
The applicant should receive a confirmation e-mail indicating a successful submission within one hour. If not, please contact TCG immediately. Be sure to save the submission confirmation e-mail as proof of submission. Applicants who cannot provide proof of application submission will not be eligible.
How To Apply [FOR REFERENCE ONLY]
Step 1: Download and read the Guidelines carefully, paying close attention to instructions regarding the application process, including submitting portfolio materials, a letter of support, and recommendations.
Step 2: Apply via the TCG ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL. The portal will require applicants to complete an online application form, upload two files as described in Step 3, and provide links to two to four files, using an online file sharing platform (i.e. Dropbox or Google Drive), as described in Step 4.
NOTE: At any given time you can select Save & Finish Later before you log off from your application session. To return to your application after you log off, please click here.
Step 3: Upload two file(s) as instructed below. Each file must be under 15 MB.
FILE #1: Upload a two-page resume/CV for the applicant.Name the file as follows: ApplicantLastName_ApplicantFirstName_Resume.pdf
FILE #2: Complete and upload the Excel Budget Spreadsheet provided in the Online Application Form. Name the file as follows: ApplicantLastName_ApplicantFirstName_Budget.xls
Step 4: Using the spaces provided in the “Portfolio Samples” section of the online application, applicants must provide links to materials (using an online file sharing program such as Dropbox or Google Drive) from at least TWO, but not more than FOUR projects that best represent their work. See the 'Portfolio Materials' section in the Guidelines for more information about submissions.
Failure to assemble and submit application materials properly may result in the application being considered ineligible for review.
Step 5: Save the Application Confirmation E-mail as proof of submission. Applicants who cannot provide proof of application submission by the deadline will not be eligible. If you do not receive an Application Confirmation E-mail within an hour of submission, please email Michael Francis at mfrancis@tcg.org. NOTE: Confirmation emails will be sent from mail@grantapplication.com, so be sure to check your spam folder.
Application materials will NOT be accepted after the aforementioned deadline and must be submitted via the TCG ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL.
Step 6: The application requires that the applicant name an academic advisor who agrees to submit a letter of support, addressing how they plan to support the applicant to balance their scholarship activities and required curriculum at their college, university or training program.The applicant will be responsible for sharing the information provided with their academic advisor. Academic advisors MUST submit their letters directly to TCG by emailing a PDF file to Michael Francis at mfrancis@tcg.org by TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020 NOON ET.
Step 7: The application requires that the applicant name two recommenders who will submit letters of recommendation that address why the applicant is a strong candidate for a WILLA KIM COSTUME DESIGN SCHOLARSHIP. The applicant will be responsible for sharing the information provided with both of their recommenders. Recommenders MUST submit their letters directly to TCG by emailing a PDF file to Michael Francis at mfrancis@tcg.org by TUESDAY, JANUARY 7, 2020 NOON ET.

Do not close out of browser without clicking the Save & Finish Later button. At any time, you can save your work and return to the application form by selecting the Save & Finish Later button.

Click the check mark icon next to long text boxes to spell check your work.

You will not be able to bold, italicize or underline your text. We suggest putting show titles in CAPS or using quotation marks.

When applicable, you may click the info box icon for formatting requirements and special instructions, when necessary.

You can transfer the ownership of the application by selecting the "Save & Finish Later" button and clicking the "Transfer to a new owner" icon.

You can give access to another person to view your application by selecting the "Save" button and clicking the "Email Draft" link.
